Joining A Mens Mountain Bike Club

So you want to start mountain biking, but you don't want to go alone right? Maybe you are new to the area, and you would like to find all the great spots right away too. Joining a mens mountain bike club is a great way to accomplish these things. Not only will you learn all the best spots to mountain bike, but you will also meet a lot of great, new people who share your passion for mountain biking. Most of the time, your local sporting goods shops and bike shops will have all the information on the mountain bike clubs available in your area.

One thing to keep in mind before joining a mens mountain bike club is that you are going to want to have the right kind of bike for the area you will be the most. You can't expect to be on the more advanced trails with a beginner's bike. Also, you will want to bike with people that have a similar experience level to yours. You won't find that you have too much in common with other mountain bikers that you can't keep up with.

Another great reason to join a mens mountain bike club is to learn much more from people that have been in the area longer than you, or do know slightly more about the sport. They can still be on the same level as you, technique wise, but may have learned a little more along the way. You may find that you have a few things to offer back as well. It's a great way to really get the most out of your mountain biking experience.

If you live in an area that does not offer a mens mountain bike club, you should maybe consider starting one up yourself. With the free online classifieds that are available these days, it won't take long or be too difficult at all. Soon you will find yourself amongst many great, new friends that you have much in common with. In turn, you will only love the sport that much more when you can share it with people you like.

The best part of our mountain bike club is the races. There's a couple of tough routes in the hills and it's great to come charging down the hills and slide through the corners. It's even better in the rain as the track becomes slippy making it even more fun!

I bought a mountain bike a couple of years ago. I use it mostly for road cycling. I like it better than a racing bike as it has chunky tires and a strong frame.

Our cycling club meets every Monday and Friday in the evening. Most times we take the mountain bikes out in the hill trails and just have some great fun. We often go for a road ride and that's great because the roads are quite hilly and it gives us a good chance to use all of our gears.
